Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini revealed on Friday that his captain Vincent Kompany would be sidelined for a month, as City prepared to travel to Cardiff City on Saturday
After suffering a groin injury in the opening match against Newcastle United the Belgium international will also miss his country’s World Cup qualifier against Scotland on September 6th – and is a doubt for the first Manchester derby of the season on September 22nd.
