How to get the Ascendant Midas skin in Fortnite?

The Ascendant Midas outfit is a Legendary rarity outfit that was recently introduced to the Item Shop during the Rise of Midas event, with the game providing a lore reason for the beloved character's new look. The skin was introduced in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 and was available for purchase for 2000 V-Bucks. However, at the time of writing, the Ascendant Midas skin is not available in the Item Shop and was last seen in the shop 15 days ago.
