The details were shared by Fortnite theorist FNChiefAko, who got wind of things from leaker/dataminer NotJulesDev. Given that they have been right about such things in the past, this is not based on speculation alone.
As mentioned, with the information originating from Epic Games themselves, there is some truth to the matter at hand. Based on the information shared by NotJulesDev, a similar pattern that was showcased in Chapter 4 can be seen in Chapter 5. With Epic Games confirming another OG Fortnite Season, this is the most logical outcome there is at the moment based on the limited information on hand. Here is the past update cycle, along with the upcoming update cycle that Epic Games is expected to follow:

At the moment, it's far too early to speculate on when Fortnite Chapter 5 Season OG will go live. Since Chapter 5 Season 2 is yet to reach mid-season, there is a lot of time left.
