It’s do or die for U Mumba as they head into their final game

The last match of the group stages pits home team, Dabang Delhi, against U Mumba. The match takes place in the capital city, at Thyagraj Sports Complex. Dabang Delhi is out of the running for a semis spot, at 7th place, but they would love to play party spoilers for Mumbai.

Mumbai just got displaced from their 4th spot last night, after Puneri Paltans’ victory. Paltans will play tonight’s first match, and whatever they do, U Mumba will have to do better. If both the teams are tied on points, Puneri Paltans will progress to the semis due to a better differential scoring.

The live streaming for the Pro Kabaddi League Season 4 game between Dabang Delhi and U Mumba will be available on www.starsports.com from 21:00 IST. The match will be telecasted live from Thyagraj Sports Complex, Delhi, and will be aired on Star Sports 2 (HD) in English and Star Sports 3 (HD) in Hindi.

Meraj Sheyk will look end the season on a high for Delhi

Dabang Delhi lost out in a thrilling encounter, in their last match against Puneri Paltans. The teams started off well, and on equal footing. Meraj Sheykh and Kashiling Adake stood out to give Delhi a 16-14 lead at halftime.

Deepak Hooda didn’t give Delhi any chance in the second half, as he tore through the Delhi defence. Prashant Chavan did all he could, but Delhi succumbed to a 39-34 loss.The Delhi team has shown sparks of brilliance, but it’s been frustrating to not see more of it.

Meraj Sheykh has endeared himself to the Delhi fans, and the Iranian will look to end Season 4 with another stellar performance. The Iranian has 63 raid points and 9 tackle points to his credit. Sachin Shingade ,too, has had a breakout season for Delhi with 37 tackle points. The two men will have a crucial role to play against a spirited U Mumba.

Meanwhile, U Mumba played out a thrilling encounter against Bengaluru Bulls, in their last match. The first-half was even and ended at 10-10. Rohit Kumar proved his class once again, as he troubles the Mumbai defence time and again. Anup Kumar, too, joined in on the act. Rakesh Kumar held his nerve in the raid of the game, to seal an emphatic 28-27 victory over the Bulls.

Anup Kumar will have to lead from the front today in Mumbai’s bid for a semis spot. Kumar has been impressive this season, and will need to repeat the same today. U Mumba’s captain has 66 raid points to his name.

Rishank Devadiga will have to support the skipper if Mumbai is to proceed to the knockouts. Kumar and Devadiga will have a tough battle against Sachin Shingade and Co.
