Belal Muhammad has cleared the rumors suggesting his fall out with UFC President Dana White.

Ever since Leon Edwards beat Kamaru Usman to retain his welterweight championship in their trilogy matchup earlier this month at UFC 286, a lot has been said about who deserves the title shot next. Interestingly, Colby Covington is the one as per Dana White. However, Belal Muhammad has voiced his disregard for the matter and believes 'Chaos' is getting special treatment from Dana White.

According to 'Remember The Name', he has been waiting in the queue for a while and it's about time he gets his shot at the title. The same has led to people speculating about the tainted relationship between Belal Muhammad and Dana White. However, that doesn't seem to be the case.

Muhammad recently took to Instagram to post a picture with Dana White while clearing the air surrounding the situation. 'Remember The Name' said:

"Great meeting with @danawhite and hunter theyre as cool as they come ..don’t believe everything you hear"

What did Belal Muhammad say about Colby Covington getting a shot at the UFC welterweight championship?

Colby Covington has been out of action for about a year. He was last seen in action against Jorge Masvidal in a highly anticipated grudge match that took place in March 2022. Despite winning the bout convincingly, many in the MMA community thought that 'Chaos' would need at least one more win under his belt to potentially fight for the title again.

However, as mentioned earlier, that doesn't seem to be the case and Covington will fight for the championship next. Speaking about the same during an episode of the Anik and Florian Podcast, Belal Muhammad suggested that he's the one that should be fighting Leon Edwards for the UFC welterweight championship.

While expressing his frustrations at not being mentioned in title contention despite being on an 8-fight winning streak, 'Remember The Name' said:

"You have to respect the work I’ve put in, what I’ve gone through. I’m on an eight-fight winning streak, I’ve won 12 of my last 13 fights... I’m beating ranked guys. I have more ranked wins than the champion... I have the fourth-longest winning streak in the history of the division, and I’m not even being mentioned in the title contention... It just doesn’t make any sense.”
