Dana White is once again making combat sports history by partnering with fight mogul Turki Alalshikh to bring us Zuffa Boxing, a new boxing promotion to rival the giants of today, Top Rank and DAZN. For the promotion's first event, two greatest boxers alive today will go head-to-head in a showdown for the ages: Canelo Alvarez vs Terence Crawford.

White made the huge announcement on X and also mentioned the date and the streaming platform that will broadcast the event. He wrote:

"Turki [Alalshikh] wants to make the biggest fights that the fans want to see in boxing and this is right up my alley. Are you kidding me that the first boxing fight I'm going to get to promote is Canelo vs. Crawford? It's literally a once in a lifetime fight. Live on Saturday, September 13, streaming globally on Netflix, two of the GREATEST boxers in the sport will meet in a historic fight from Las Vegas."

Dana White on petition to strip Jon Jones off UFC heavyweight title: "It's kind of silly"

At the UFC post-fight press conference, Dana White was asked about the one question every MMA fan has been asking for months now: will the Jon Jones vs Tom Aspinall fight ever happen?

As per his usual response, the UFC president has no definite answer as to whether Jones will sign the dotted line or not. He was then asked what he thought of the ongoing online petition to strip Jones of the UFC heavyweight title. The petition has over 190,000 signatures and counting.

White said:

"Every human on Earth was DMing it to me and yeah, I saw...How many fans are there worldwide now, like what's the number? It's like 400 million or something like that? 130,000 people want to see him [Jones] stripped. It's kind of silly."

When asked if he signed the petition, Dana White simply laughed and said:

"No, I did not."
