Odell Beckham Jr. and Eli Manning combined to form one of the most devastating offensive duos when playing for the New York Giants. Those days seem far away even though Brian Daboll just won the Coach of the Year award after getting his team into the playoffs this season.

Now, Manning has teased the possibility of a reunion for Beckham at the Giants on Twitter. He posted a picture of himself and the wide receiver meeting together. While that in itself might not mean much more than two former teammates catching up, it could signify a deeper meaning. Eli Manning's Twitter bio reads:

"Once a Giant, Always a Giant, Only a Giant"

Taken together, it could mean something else completely. It could signify that for Odell Beckham Jr., his spiritual home remains in New York, with the team that drafted him and gave him his first chance in the NFL.

Can Odell Beckham Jr. resurrect his career with Eli Manning pointing him towards the Giants?

Odell Beckham Jr. has experienced a lot of emotion in the last couple of years. Just a year ago, he was on the pitch winning the Super Bowl with the Rams. That followed a very public fallout with the Cleveland Browns, who then let him go to Los Angeles. However, during that game, he suffered an injury that would effectively sideline him for the entirety of the season, and he went unsigned.

In the meantime, he was also featured negatively on the news when he was removed from a plane. It was an additional insult to the literal injury that stopped him from taking the field. Riding high from winning a ring for himself, that's not how the wide receiver would have expected the next year to pan out.

Now, it seems Eli Manning is guiding him towards where he can rise from the ashes again and asking him to return to where it all began.

The Giants are contenders again, thanks to Brian Daboll, who has a knack for building strong offensive systems. Having a wide receiver like Odell Beckham Jr. would take them to the next level. It will also allow the player to return to a city that he's familiar with and play for a fanbase that adores him.

While the connection between Eli Manning and Odell Beckham Jr. might never be recreated on the field again, there's no reason why the quarterback cannot use that relationship to point Beckham in this direction.
