5 celebrities who should be inducted into WWE Hall Of Fame

The celebrity wing of WWE’s Hall of Fame will see a major addition this year in the form of Arnold Schwarzenegger. He was never a milestone in the WWE’s history, but that is how the Celebrity wing works. The main objective of the Celebrity inductions is to get some extra publicity for WrestleMania and this year will be no different.Arnold is a deserving choice for the class considering who all he will be sharing the honor with and there were a handful of other celebrities out there who will grab equal amount of headlines. Some of the names might sound utterly ridiculous but come on; a celebrity need not have fifteen WWE championships to their name to be inducted. So here is a look at some of the names that WWE should consider in the near future.

#5 Kim Kardashian

Okay, did I say about some names being utterly ridiculous? This is one of them. A lot of the wrestling fans out there would want to forget her appearance in the WWE but then again, it came at the granddaddy of them all, WrestleMania.

She was the hostess for WrestleMania 24 and her popularity back then was nowhere near in comparison with her current star power. WWE could get a lot of mainstream attention for inducting Kardashian and she could be a great asset to their Total Divas Show as well.

And since she has a habit of breaking the Internet every now and then, a Hall of Fame induction will be no different even if it will be because of the angry WWE fans.

#4 Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. was part of a big angle for WrestleMania 24. In a show that had the lights of celebrities like Snoop Dogg and Kim Kardashian, Mayweather faced off against Big Show to blow off a feud that they started a month back.

Vince built up the feud with all the right ingredients and wanted to bank in big time on the boxer’s popularity. At the end of the day, it turned into a believable match but he showed a lot of attitudes which the fans did not like.

He got jeers rather than the expected cheers, but he did have a win at WrestleMania. He returned to WWE in 2009 and with his streak intact, no one would mind seeing Mayweather in the celebrity wing.

#3 Maria Menounos

Maria Menounos has more matches and wins than Sting in WWE. And I’m not talking about just one random match; she actually wrestled in WWE for four separate occasions and won every one of them.

And those four includes appearances at WrestleMania and SummerSlam. She might be famous for being a Television presenter, but she also has a good track record when it comes to hosting WWE events. She took the center stage in last year’s Hall of Fame ceremony as well.

It would be fitting to get her a place in the Celebrity wing of Hall of Fame as she has a better record that most of the divas in the current main roster.

#2 Muhammad Ali

Inducting one of the biggest names in the sporting history into WWE Hall of Fame is never a bad idea. Ali is still respected all across the world and his association with Professional wrestling has been no secret.

He was the guest referee in the main event tag team match at WrestleMania 1 and was among the first wave of celebrities who helped wrestling go mainstream in the golden era.

Ali’s Parkinson’s disease is a big hurdle that stands between him and the induction. The number of public appearances from him has been toned down recently and if WWE could find a way past all these, they will have one huge announcement in their hands.

#1 David Arquette

How can a former WCW World Champion other than Chris Benoit not be in the WWE Hall of Fame? It is a burning question and inducting David Arquette into the Hall of Fame will solve matters. Not any of the celebrity members of the Hall of Fame will have a title reign under their belt, but Arquette had.

He became the WCW champion back in 2000 and though it was considered as a bad booking decision from the company, he won it nevertheless. Also, he donated his salary from WCW during that time for the families of wrestlers like Owen Hart, Droz and Brian Pillman.

Arquette does not have the star power of other people in the list but he does deserve to be inducted for holding that big gold belt which was once held by greats like Ric Flair, Triple H and many others.
