8 WWE Superstars who are gradually losing their momentum on the roster

Let’s hope that the new look pays off well for the “Big Guy”

Are big name stars like Lesnar proving to be a curse for the neglected ones? For any WWE Superstar to shine on the roster, one thing is surely essential – we call it “momentum”. It doesn’t matter how big a player you are as long as you don’t have the momentum and that required push is something of a difference maker.Let us not mince random words here, rather look at a few instances in the past and realize how crucial this factor is for the success of a superstar.Talk about Daniel Bryan in the past two years, Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar now, The New Day, The Wyatts and name any big names that impressed the WWE universe over time – they all had the pivotal factor.Of late, it seems like some of the guys are on the roster today are losing their momentum, which is bad for the business. The reasons vary largely and as part of this slideshow, let us have a look at 5 Superstars/Divas on the roster who are gradually losing their power to impress the crowds-

#8 Ryback

Let’s hope that the new look pays off well for the “Big Guy”

Did you remember Ryback’s initial days in the company?

The human wrecking ball took out everybody singlehandedly and proved his dominance on the roster and just have a look at him today! He was on the hunt for the WWE Championship and was involved in high profile feuds with Cena and Punk.

Today, he is without a proper storyline; which is a shame. He debuted his new look last week and let’s hope, that maybe, it could help him be back on the right track.

#7 Rusev

Stop him from being a part of “League of Nations”

The 'Bulgarian Brute', Rusev is yet another highly talented guy on the current WWE roster with no direction. He is a great heel and many are baffled as to why WWE is unable to come up with impressive storylines for Rusev.

During his initial days in the company, he did great as a Russian patriot and the storylines built for him were awesome.

Rusev was booked in a great way and the company gave him opportunities to face big names like Cena, Big Show, Mark Henry and Jack Swagger. He held an undefeated streak for a long time and had a fairly long run as the US Champion with Lana being the perfect manager by his side.

WWE should trust the potential of this big guy and invest on him for the future. And for all that to happen, WWE needs to put him in good matches and storylines. The boring and predictable “League of Nations” will do him no good except making him stale as each day passes on.

#6 Dolph Ziggler

The Show-off is not showing off anymore

I wouldn’t say Ziggler has completely lost his rhythm but he is on the brink of losing some serious momentum that he has had throughout his career.

Ziggler has always been a fan favourite and is a former World Champion in his own right. He is currently involved in a storyline with Kevin Owens and it seems that it is not paying well for him.

On a positive note, it’s a welcome move that the WWE has taken him off the lacklustre storyline with Rusev and Lana and it is high time to make the show-off interesting again.

#5 Jack Swagger

The “Real American” is seriously lacking direction

Swagger made his comeback to the ring during the closing months of 2015 and he has been staying on the roster with absolutely no purpose at all. A former World Heavyweight Champion, US Champion and one of the most talented guys in the WWE has now become a serious liability in the company.

He is occasionally seen on RAW and all his matches are fillers in the 3-hour duration of the show. With guys like Owens, Neville, Rusev, Ziggler and Kalisto among others on the roster, it’s not really a herculean task to engage Swagger in a good storyline, but we really don’t know what the WWE Creative is contemplating on when dealing with the “Real American”.

It’s high time to give Swagger a break and engage him in a good storyline.

#4 Neville

The man that not just gravity forgot but the WWE Creative as well these days

Neville is a talented superstar, who shined down at NXT and was handpicked by the WWE. He was a former NXT Champion and became a part of the main roster in early 2015. With his unbelievable in-ring acrobatic skills, Neville has the potential to be a great entertainer.

The WWE universe loves the 'Red Arrow' and one can clearly observe the shades of RVD in him. He has been a part of few great matches, notably against Kevin Owens and John Cena.

The immensely talented star was seen as a breakout talent early on, with WWE booking him well, but all of that has subsided as time passed on. The same thing that goes with Swagger goes with him as well.

There is a lot of young blood on the roster and why not build an empire of talent! Neville has the charisma and it’s important to capitalize on it.

#3 Tyler Breeze

The Selfie Sultan

Last year in October on SmackDown, Tyler Breeze made his stunning debut and started his journey on the main roster, playing the character of Summer Rae’s boyfriend in his initial days.

The Canadian wrestler has got a lot of potential and that is something that fetched him a call to be a part of the main roster. We witnessed a few bouts between Breeze and Ziggler initially – which obviously were interesting – but as the feud wrapped up, Breeze lost his momentum.

When a star is drafted to the main roster from NXT, it is really important to take care that they are part of a convincing storyline to start off with. Ziggler was the right option, but moving on from that, WWE dropped the ball on Breeze.

Try Breeze differently guys, maybe that would yield some fruit.

#2 The Miz

Mr. Microphone

How long has it been since The Miz competed inside the WWE ring? He used to be the host for “Miz TV” and that was a part-time affair. But today, that has become the only thing that concerns him in the WWE.

A few years back, expectations were very highly pinned on this man and WWE even took the big step by giving him the WWE Championship. We all know that Miz was great on the mike but just for that reason, do you confer on him the responsibility of leading the company?

Miz is an effective heel and he should be properly utilised. Maybe injuries were a partial reason behind this but it is now the time to make a move and once again make Miz interesting. You may find a new host but you can’t find a new superstar easily.

So why waste time? Ask him to pull his socks up and engage him in the Intercontinental or the US title picture. That really works!

We need a dominant Miz, not the dormant one!

#1 Charlotte

Aw! Please stop this WWE

I personally was a very big fan of Charlotte, but the way WWE has been portraying her over the past few months absolutely sucks. She was the ‘Divas Champion’ and yet, needs the backing of her father? Aw!

Nobody denies the fact that Ric Flair adds value to his daughter, but it so appears that Charlotte is totally dependent on her father for momentum. Why in the world does Ric accompany her every night on Raw, Smack Down and even on the PPVs and help her win matches?

She created a name for herself. Let her fight alone and conquer her opponents and prove her mettle.
