#5 Chyna vs. Ivory

A rare specimen!

After watching Triple H’s back for years, Chyna got an opportunity to have a match at WrestleMania 17 and this was something quite talked about. The creative team gave her a shot at the WWF Women’s title and she was asked to face Ivory – the Champion back then.

She had a very short match which lasted for precisely 02:39. Chyna quickly delivered a Gorilla Press Drop on Ivory and pinned the Champ for the win. Chyna may have won the Women’s title but surely deserved something more than that – thanks to her physical specimen!

Winner: Chyna

#4 Chris Benoit vs. Kurt Angle

Two of the most resilient guys in the company

Kurt Angle and Chris Benoit have always produced great wrestling matches, individually and together.

At WrestleMania 17, both the in-ring generals were part of a 14-minute bout in which Angle defeated Benoit. During the course of the match, Benoit used the Angle Lock on Angle whereas Angle used the Crippler Crossface on Benoit.

It was a great moment to watch two of the greatest submission experts in WWE history falling prey to their own wrestling moves. It was just awesome! Angle finally managed to pick up the victory after successfully rolling his opponent.

Winner: Kurt Angle

#3 Vince McMahon vs. Shane McMahon

Relationships don’t count inside the squared circle

The power clash within the McMahon family is always interesting and has been a topic of excitement among WWE fans right from the very beginning.

At WrestleMania 17, Vince and Shane had a match with Mick Foley as the special guest referee. Shane brutally attacked his father with kendo sticks and chairs by taking advantage of the Street Fight rules. Linda McMahon was sitting in a wheelchair ringside and watched the match with a little assistance from Trish Startus.

During the closing moments of the match, Vince wanted to assault Shane right before his mother’s and so brought Linda onto the stage. She stood up and kicked Vince in the nuts, sending the boss crashing down in pain.

Foley avenged the two chair shots he got at the hands of Vince by blindsiding the boss. Shane quickly capitalized on this with a Coast-to-Coast for the win.

Winner: Shane McMahon

#2 Triple H vs. The Undertaker

Great Wrestling chemistry between these guys

The Undertaker and Triple H had a total of 3 matches against each other at WrestleMania, the first of which happened at WrestleMania 17. As was the case with the other matches, this match lasted for nearly 18 minutes and both men put in everything they had to offer.

Triple H attempted to win the match after countering a Last Ride with his sledge-hammer but Taker kicked out at 2. Triple H made yet another futile attempt to attack Taker at the corner of the ring, but the phenom powered up and delivered a last ride for the win.

With this, Taker went up 9-0 at WrestleMania. The Game, though, eventually rested in peace.

Winner: The Undertaker

#1 The Rock vs. Stone Cold

A WrestleMania 15 repeat!

In the main event of the evening, The Rock defended his WWF title against Stone Cold Steve Austin in a no DQ match. The perennial rivals kicked off the match with a brawl on the outside and took it into the crowds

Halfway into the match, both were bleeding as a result of two bell shots and it was then Vince made his way out to make his presence felt. The Rock delivered a People’s elbow on Austin and tried to pin him, but Vince pulled his leg, indicating his support for Austin.

It was then that the Rock chased the boss and eventually ended up getting beaten at the hands of Austin. During the closing moments, Austin attacked The Rock with a steel chair consecutively for 16 times before getting the three count, much to the shock of the fans. After the match, Austin and Vince shook hands and shared beers.

Winner: Stone Cold Steve Austin
