5 Brock Lesnar matches we want to see

Brock Lesnar still has a variety of opponents left to face in WWE

The Beast Incarnate, Brock Lesnar is one of the most accomplished wrestlers in the history of WWE, that too within a very short duration of time. Lesnar, who was The Next Big Thing in 2002, made a name for himself outside WWE as well.

However, since he re-signed with WWE, things have changed amazingly for the former UFC Heavyweight Champion. Counting his accomplishments might need an article in itself. However, the time is near when The Anamoly might end his illustrious professional wrestling career.

In the past few years, we have seen many matches we could have only dream of 6 years ago. Brock Lesnar vs John Cena at Extreme Rules, Brock Lesnar vs CM Punk at Summerslam, Brock Lesnar vs Samoa Joe at WWE Great Balls of Fire and Brock Lesnar vs AJ Styles are all dream matches we were lucky enough to witness. However, there are still plenty of big matches Brock Lesnar could be a part of.

So, here are five matches we want to watch before Brock Lesnar retires from professional wrestling.

#5 - Brock Lesnar vs The Rock

Brock vs Rock has been a long overdue rematch

Brock Lesnar vs The Rock at Summerslam 2002 was an absolute classic. The Great One passed the torch to The Next Big Thing as Lesnar became the youngest World Champion at that time. Back then The Rock was on his way to Hollywood while Brock Lesnar was the man who would be the next poster boy of the company. The situation has changed now, both Brock Lesnar and The Rock are part-timers and are major attractions of any show they are part of.

The Great One has himself claimed many times that he would love to fight Brock Lesnar if he were to return to the ring. The Rock himself stated in a Tweet that the original plan for WrestleMania 30 was Rock vs Brock 2, and they were then planning talks for WrestleMania 31. However, it seems like The Rock isn't going to be stepping back in the squared circle anytime soon.

If you somehow haven't watched their match from Summerslam, here is the finish of the match as uploaded by WWE

#4 Brock Lesnar vs Kurt Angle

Could the two renew their long-time SmackDown rivalry?

The rivalry between Brock Lesnar and Kurt Angle will go down as one of the best rivalries in the history of professional wrestling. The two always brought the best out of each other. Both Brock Lesnar and Kurt Angle are well versed in amateur wrestling. This is probably one of the reasons for their incredible chemistry.

A lot has changed since 2003, Brock Lesnar has been booked as an invincible object while Kurt Angle is in his late 40's. However, The Olympic Gold Medalist has shown no signs of ring rust and is still going strong. Both Lesnar and Angle have limited matches to offer at this stage of their careers and it will be unfair if we don't get to see this two go at it once again, ruthless aggression style.

#3 Brock Lesnar vs Batista

Batista remains a dream opponent for Brock Lesnar

Both Brock Lesnar and Batista were part of the prestigious 2002 class of Ohio Valley Wrestling along with Randy Orton and John Cena. While Brock Lesnar was pushed to the top straight away, Batista had to wait for his rise to the main event. The wait came to an end thanks to the unexpected departure of Brock Lesnar from WWE in 2004. Batista would go on to be the poster boy along with John Cena. After leaving WWE, Batista made it big in the Hollywood while Brock Lesnar reached new heights in UFC. People have been craving for this match for quite a long time. The Beast vs The Animal is the perfect Goliath vs Goliath match one can think of.

With the recent rumors of Batista wanting to return to WWE, this match might still take place.

In case you didn't know, Brock Lesnar vs Batista has happened before. Though not exactly how you would have thought. Batista faced Lesnar under his ring name Leviathan in OVW.

#2 Brock Lesnar vs Shinsuke Nakamura

Shinsuke Nakamura and Lesnar have faced off before, believe it or not

Shinsuke Nakamura is one of the most hard-hitting wrestlers in WWE. There is a reason why he is called The King of Strong Style. Shinsuke Nakamura is no stranger to the world of mixed martial arts too as 'The Artist' holds a record of 3-1 in MMA.

While Nakamura's current booking has been lame for a guy of his caliber, this match could have been a reality had Shinsuke defeated Jinder Mahal at Hell in a Cell PPV. Nakamura's hard-hitting style could resurrect the memories of Brock Lesnar's fight with John Cena at Extreme Rules 2012.

However, this is not a once in a lifetime match as Brock Lesnar and Shinsuke Nakamura have faced each other before as well. Brock Lesnar successfully defended his IWGP Heavyweight Championship against Nakamura on January 4, 2006.

#1 Brock Lesnar vs Bobby Lashley

Bobby Lashley and Brock Lesnar share a lot of similarities, other than the same initials. Both were booked as a powerhouse, both were given a strong push very early, both left WWE at their prime and both have made a big name in the Mixed Martial Arts. While Brock Lesnar is a former UFC Heavyweight Champion, Bobby Lashley holds an impressive 15-2 record in MMA while being undefeated in Bellator.

So many similarities and it is unfair that we haven't seen them faced together yet, in professional wrestling or MMA. In a recent interview with Hannibal TV, Lashley said that a fight with Brock Lesnar 'needs to be done'.

If the recent rumours of Bobby Lashley leaving Impact Wrestling are true, then it is safe to say we might get to see 'The Destroyer' go one on one against 'The Beast Incarnate'.
