WWE Rumors: Rejected WrestleMania 32 angle for Batista revealed

Batista could have been one of the legends walking down the ramp!

One of the biggest WrestleMania 32 rumors that did the rounds prior to the show was Batista apparently rejecting a role at the show of immortals. Batista was not happy with the idea pitched in by WWE Creative and was up for an appearance if something better came up.

Now, it has been revealed that the Animal was offered to be a part of the legends segment at WrestleMania 32 that featured Stone Cold Steve Austin, Mick Foley, and Shawn Michaels.

Backstage word is that Vince offered Batista the same spot that was tabled to the aforementioned legendary trio and not a special guest referee’s role that was the major rumor that dominated the internet leading up to the show.

It's astonishing as to why Batista may have rejected such a lucrative spot – if it was legitimately offered that is – as it would have made for a great moment to see the Animal share the ring with some of the greatest.

In any case, Batista has been an avid critic of the WWE Creative and it has always been a tough ask for the creative team to come up with the goods for the former WWE Champion. His last run are ample indications as to why Batista holds negative feelings towards the writers backstage.
