- And Eva Marie has done it again. It seems wrestling match without botches isn’t her cup of tea and it’s high time the WWE officials rethink her push at NXT.
The live event held at Nashville, Tennessee saw the latest Eva Marie botch and Carmella ended up on the receiving end this time around. She suffered a stinger after a misplaced knee from Eva that resulted in Carmella taking a bad bump to her back.
What followed was a pin and win for Marie as the match was ended prematurely.
Carmella looked in pain and the referee even showed the dreaded “X” sign that stands for a possible injury. WWE trainees and Dr. Chris Amann came rushing to the ring to help Carmella, who was seen crying and in visible discomfort. She had to be helped on her way out and at the moment is fine as she suffered a minor stinger it seems.
Eva Marie was treated to ‘please retire’ chants from the fans in attendance who were certainly not pleased by what they saw from the red-haired Diva. It seems all the effort in polishing her raw in-ring skills are just not working out. Below is the photo posted from the live event:
- Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady defeated Chad Gable and Jason Jordan in a really fun match. Gable worked like a perfect heel
- Bull Dempsey defeated Elias Samson after interrupting his guitar playing. They lost the crowd but Bull-Fit seemed over some
- Bayley retained the NXT Women’s Title over Emma and Alexa Bliss in a really good Triple Threat. Bayley gave out hugs before and after the match. The new evil Emma is great and Bliss proved she can hang with the more experienced Divas
- Samoa Joe defeated Baron Corbin by submission in another awesome match. Corbin got some good offense in and played a good heel but Joe was over big time
- Apollo Crews defeated Tye Dillinger. Apollo has some really cool moves and looked like a real Superstar. Dillinger was great as usual, carrying his load and playing a good heel with the crowd. Crews won with the press and standing moon sault
- Eva Marie comes out to some insane heat that she is usually accustomed to and squared up against Carmella. The match ended pretty quickly as they went to a pin after Carmella took a bad bump and hurt her head. She was crying and Dr. Chris Amann came out with Drake Younger to check her out, then help her to the back. Hopefully it was just a stinger but there is no love for Eva in Nashville.
- The Vaudevillains defeated The Mechanics to retain the NXT Tag Team Titles. Excellent tag team match, lots of good playing to the crowd from both teams
- Finn Balor defeated Tyler Breeze to retain the NXT Title in a great main event. Breeze had some pop for his entrance and Balor came out to do the DX crotch chop. They tore the house down, one of the best matches in WWE this year but maybe it was just because we’re live. Finn won with the Coup de Grace and left showing love to Nashville. Perfect way to end an amazing show.
All in all a solid show with some solid wrestling and a amped up crowd.
