"I'm like a real life superhero" - Antonio Cesaro

The carrollcountytimes.com, caught up with ‘Swiss Superman’ Antonio Cesaro during the recent Monday night RAW in Baltimore. Here are some extracts from the interview

When asked if he lifts for competition, Cesaro said that he lifts for functionality rather then competition. He was also quoted as saying “if someone can bench press more than me, so what? I don’t care. How does that help me to be better in the ring?”Besides that, he also discussed using the giant swing, that has become quite a phenomenon with the fans.”It’s one of those things, you see it in movies, you see it in comic books, it’s something a superhero would do,” Cesaro said. “I’m like a real life superhero.”

Cesaro, dubbed as the ’8th wonder of the world’ also spoke about his recent success at Wrestlemania after winning the Andre the giant battle royal match.

“Every wrestling fan knows about Andre the Giant, especially growing up in Europe,” he said. “He was such a huge icon, and it was an honor to be the first Andre the Giant battle royal winner.”

“I think it was a nice way to pay tribute to Andre,” He added.

Cesaro has certainly struck the right chord with the WWE universe and looks poised for some big opportunities coming his way.
