Is Brock Lesnar ruining his feud with The Undertaker ahead of WrestleMania?

Taking a break at the wrong time

We are less than a month away from WrestleMania XXX and this is the time when each and every feud starts to heat up. Starting from tonight’s episode of Raw every feud is going to shift gears except for one – Brock Lesnar vs. The Undertaker. Reason being that Brock Lesnar won’t appear on the next two episodes of Raw.

As WrestlingInc.com reports: “Brock Lesnar is not currently scheduled to appear at the next two RAW tapings. He is scheduled to appear at the March 24th show in Brooklyn, as well as the WrestleMania go-home episode of March 31st in Washington DC.” This means that along with his, The Undertaker will have to do Lesnar’s homework as well and shape the build-up of this feud all on his own, and this is the reason why he has been booked for every Raw until WrestleMania and also for the March 18 taping of SmackDown.

When rumors about a possible Lesnar-Taker showdown at WrestleMania XXX were spreading, everyone was showing their concern about Lesnar’s insincerity towards work, fearing that he might not appear more than what he is being paid for. Those fears have came true and Lesnar’s decision to not appear before March 24 has put his whole feud with Undertaker in jeopardy.

This feud was one that every pro wrestling fan was looking forward to, but one cannot see any progress since the moment when Undertaker choke slammed Lesnar through the table and signed the contract, which happened two weeks ago, and apparently the next two weeks will also be wasted as there will be no contact between these two men.

When one would learn that Lesnar won’t appear for the next two weeks, then that person would probably curse WWE for wasting Lesnar on Mark Henry on March 3 episode of Raw. Why didn’t they save it for another week?! Lesnar’s absence means that we would see Paul Heyman segments instead, who is undoubtedly the best promo man in the company (the one who made Undertaker vs. Punk more happening last year), but mic work isn’t enough when you’ve got stars like Taker and Lesnar involved in a feud, both these men have got history between them and fans want to see some more action before the final showdown.

Just one choke slam through a table in 4 weeks doesn’t sound good at all. Fans want to see a whole lot of exploding action between them, something which Lesnar is famous for, and unless he doesn’t destroy The Undertaker on Raw, no one is going to buy this feud (which is the real main event of WrestleMania XXX).

Ever since Lesnar has returned, fans’ love for him hasn’t been the same, reason being his irregularity at WWE shows. And he is still doing that, even during the WrestleMania season. More than worrying about the money, he should see a WrestleMania match with The Undertaker, who is also his oldest rival, as an opportunity which even the best in this business haven’t got. Undertaker, who is going to retire very soon, is going to give all he can in this match against Lesnar, and it would be great if we could see the same determination by Lesnar.

On an optimistic note, we should hope that in the next two weeks, Undertaker and Heyman deliver some intriguing segments and upon Lesnar’s return WWE gives the fans what they want – a brawl between Taker and Lesnar, so that they make a perfect build-up for a perfect WrestleMania showdown.
