WWE Superstar Randy Orton being a veteran in the business has headlined shows, events, and premium live events several times. Now, a former World Champion recently mentioned he learned a lot from sharing the ring with The Apex Predator.

Back in 2017, a rivalry erupted between Orton and Jinder Mahal after the latter stole the WWE Championship belt from him. The animosity culminated in The Modern Day Maharaja defeating Randy Orton for the WWE Title at Backlash 2017 with the help of The Singh Brothers.

Their clash also included a brutal Punjabi Prison match in which the 37-year-old retained his world title against Randy Orton with an assist from The Great Khali. Speaking to Chris Van Vliet on INSIGHT, Jinder Mahal heavily praised the former RK-Bro member for being a good babyface and even a better heel.

"All credit to Randy (Orton). I would say Randy is in my opinion the greatest. If you look at longevity, look, his ability in the ring, he's pacing [as a] heel or babyface. Good babyface, even better heel. Amazing heel, an amazing babyface. Randy to me is the best and I really learned a lot," he said.

There was a time when The Modern Day Maharaja never worked a main event, but he credited Orton and AJ Styles for polishing his skills and relaxing his nerves before heading to the big stage. The 37-year-old star added:

"I never worked it, the WWE main event style is different. The pacing, Randy so over, AJ, these guys are so over, you don't need to rush, they do a big kick out and you can take your time to react. I don't know, just sometimes when you wrestle other guys lower on the card as I was myself, we got to do so much to like try to get a reaction and we kind of, I don't know, we plan too much of the match. But like with those guys is completely relaxed. Just like in the moment, listen to the crowd."
