WWE News: Linda McMahon a potential cabinet pick in Trump administration

Linda McMahon may get a position in the Commerce Dept.

According to reports from the UK Daily Star, former WWE CEO Linda McMahon is a possible candidate to join President-elect Donald Trump's cabinet in the Commerce Department.

Linda tweeted out the following congratulating Trump on his victory:

McMahon who's already run for the U.S. Senate twice failed to win both the times. She's been involved in Republican fundraising ever since then. Trump's finance reports indicate that the McMahon family provided $7 million to his campaign.

The contributions from the McMahons helped Trump's political action committee (PAC), Rebuilding America Now a lot.

Linda McMahon's contributions made her one of the biggest outside benefactors, which came off as a surprise to a lot of people as she was offended by Trump's remarks on women, and in a conversation with Yahoo.com's Katie Couric, called those comments "deplorable".

But, later in September, McMahon told Associated Press, that even though Trump was not her first choice for president, she's become a strong supporter now further adding that Trump had emerged as a vessel that housed the anger and dissatisfaction that had intensified throughout the country.

Linda McMahon talking about his loyalty said that:

“Once you're his friend, he is loyal to the end,” she added. “He's an incredibly loyal, loyal friend.”

The McMahons had also contributed a whopping $5 million to Trump's charity, The Donald Trump Foundation in 2007. Making it one of the biggest contributions to be ever made to the foundation.

President-Elect Donald Trump has also had associations with the WWE, which is run by the McMahons. Trump has appeared on several episodes of Monday Night RAW — WWE's flagship show. He's also been in several storylines acting as Vince McMahon's rival.

He was involved in the "Battle of the Billionaires' match, which resulted in him shaving Vince McMahon bald. Trump has hosted two WrestleMania events at Trump Plaza in New Jersey. The footage below shows Donald Trump commenting on his relationship with Vince McMahon:
