The Women's World Championship is the top prize on RAW

On the latest episode of Monday Night RAW, WWE crowned a new Women's World Champion in the form of Becky Lynch. Chelsea Green has now reacted to The Man's title victory.

The championship was recently vacated by Rhea Ripley. After her victory over Lynch at WrestleMania XL, The Nightmare suffered a legitimate shoulder injury on an episode of RAW. The injury was caused during a backstage brawl with Liv Morgan.

Taking to Twitter/X, Chelsea Green sent out a four-word message, claiming she should've walked out as the new Women's World Champion instead of The Man.

"I SHOULD HAVE WON," wrote Green.

Vince Russo opened up about Becky Lynch's championship win on WWE RAW

Former WWE head writer Vince Russo recently discussed the possible reason why Becky Lynch won the Women's World Championship on RAW.

On the latest edition of Sportskeeda Wrestling's Legion of RAW, Russo speculated that Lynch's current contract with the Stamford-based company was coming to an end. Hence, the promotion might have put the Women's World Championship on The Man to show they still have faith in her.

"Let's look at Becky Lynch for instance. Maybe they felt she wasn't going to sign and they wanted her to sign. This is a way of them showing all the confidence they have in her. They're putting the title. That's almost what it sounds like to me. I was under the impression that her character was kinda getting a little old and tired."

At WrestleMania XL, Lynch lost to Rhea Ripley in a Women's World Championship match. Following The Show of Shows, Ripley was set to reignite her feud with Liv Morgan but due to an injury, the former was forced to sit on the sidelines.

Meanwhile, Lynch briefly took a break from WWE TV before returning to in-ring action on the recently concluded UK tour. On RAW, she eliminated Liv Morgan to win the Women's World Championship.

Morgan previously came close to winning the 2024 Women's Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber Matches. It will be interesting to see if she will target The Man in the coming weeks.
