Sasha Banks is now a three-time Women's Champion, after defeating Charlotte on RAW in a spectacular Falls Count Anywhere match. Following her victory, Banks challenged Charlotte to one final match: a 30-minute Ironman match at the upcoming Roadblock pay-per-view event.
Once all is said and done, if Banks becomes the first woman to defeat Charlotte at a PPV, WWE will have to find new challengers for the RAW Women's Championship. The title has been monopolised by the Banks-Flair rivalry for the majority of 2016, and WWE is going to have to change it up in 2017.
Here are the 5 women, in no specific order, who should challenge Banks in 2017.
#5 Emmalina
WWE has been making a big deal about Emma’s return and her transformation into Emmalina for months. She is finally going to appear on next week's Monday Night RAW, likely with some pomp, circumstance and an easy victory over an enhancement wrestler.
The returning star will immediately become part of the conversation for who is going to be in line to challenge Banks for the RAW Women's Title. She won't be the first challenger, but her name will be in the hat, and she could make it clear that she is coming for the Women's Championship.
#4 Alicia Fox
This may seem like an interesting or odd pick, but I feel it makes sense. WWE constantly talks about how Fox is the veteran of the Women's division, so why not put her in the ring with the champ?
It should be a match with the stipulation that if Fox wins, she gets a title shot, but she wouldn't win, and Sasha would simply move on. It's a decent win for the champion to get under her belt on an episode of RAW, while the other women continue to rebuild the ranks; so that some legitimate challengers can emerge.
#3 Dana Brooke
Similar to the match with Alicia Fox, this would be a non-title match with an opportunity for a championship match for Dana if she picks up a win.
Brooke will put up a decent fight, but in the end, it will again boil down to the dominant champion winning the match and keeping the other women distanced from taking her title. Essentially, to get a shot at Sasha, you first have to go through her, and that's not an easy task.
#2 Nia Jax
This one is a no-brainer, of course, and may be the match that we get at WrestleMania. Bayley is going to be Sasha's next challenger, but through sheer will, force and domination, Jax will step up and get herself a match for the RAW Women's Championship.
Instead of winning a battle royal or a multi-woman match to determine the next contender, Jax should go right to the source and attack Sasha. She could interfere in matches and beat Sasha Banks down and, unlike some of the others, should refuse to get in the ring for a match, unless the title is on the line.
Sasha will obviously accept just so she can get a chance for revenge, and this is your RAW Women's Title match for WWE WrestleMania 33.
#1 Bayley
Bayley is going to be Sasha's first challenger after Charlotte. My expectation is that Bayley will win a match with all of the other RAW women involved at Roadblock, and it will make her #1 contender.
Charlotte will take issue with that and challenge Bayley to put the title shot on the line in a match, and Bayley will get the upset on an episode of RAW to keep her title opportunity. It makes Bayley look like a more credible opponent for Banks, and the two can have a face versus face battle, over the title at the Royal Rumble event.
This match is what the RAW Women's division needs right now.
Charlotte could appear in the Rumble Match and maybe even get an elimination or two, and post-Rumble she will use it as a gloating opportunity directed at Bayley, who is likely come up short against Sasha Banks at the Rumble. That leads to a Sasha-Jax title match and Bayley-Charlotte grudge match being RAW's offerings for the women at WrestleMania.
