Rumours are that the WWE is trying to get Bill Goldberg to sign for WrestleMania 31, following a similar path that they took with The Ultimate Warrior.
The idea is to put Goldberg in the WWE 2K15 video game, announce that around SummerSlam and then use that hype to build to a top spot at WrestleMania 31.
If the company is in fact serious about getting him to wrestle at WrestleMania 31—which, by all accounts, it seems to be—then building the lucrative and high-profile video game franchise around him and his legendary character is a smart way to do that.
Similar to Warrior, Goldberg could also have a starring spot in next year’s Hall of Fame class.
