Sheamus to replace Brock Lesnar? Updates on Lesnar

Brock Lesnar merchandises to be replaced by Sheamus

As noted previously, WWE’s merchandise department had received word to halt production of any new Brock Lesnar merchandise and if any were already earmarked for him, they should be produced fro Sheamus. This news triggered speculation amongst the fans that Lesnar might leave the company after Wrestlemania 31. Later, a WWE spokesperson confirmed that none of these suggestions were true.

In an update, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that the orders to stop the Lesnar merchandise was given to a licensing partner of the WWE. Apparently, they were also directed to take Lesnar out and replace him with Sheamus for a group shot merchandise, which would include all top stars together.

This was not told to WWE’s internal merchandise department but companies that work with them on creating new merchandise.

This does not indicate that Lesnar is leaving after WrestleMania 31 but since he has not re-signed past that point, the third parties were told not to release any new Lesnar merchandise as a precautionary measure. Apparently they were told this in regards to merchandise that would be released after WrestleMania 31.
