TNA News: Another lawsuit filed against TNA

More creditors of TNA have been revealed

TNA is in an absolutely catastrophic state. While it is still unclear as to whether Billy Corgan is the majority owner or not, it has still been implied. However, Dixie Carter clearly has a hand in something, and there have reportedly even been tensions between the two backstage.

There have been many parties who TNA has owed money too, and that list has only been expanding.

The next party that has sued TNA is American Express Travel Related Services Company, who filed a lawsuit for unpaid bills a few months ago.

American Express filed suit in the Supreme Court of New York on July 20th claiming nonpayment of $269,049.50 in travel related expenses. The claim is that TNA used their American Express Corporate account for various items and American Express was not paid.

The claim is that the company agreed to payments on the receipt of monthly billing statements as well as to pay court costs if the case went to court.

It also claimed the agreement included that the defendants were to pay all reasonable costs when it came to American Express collecting the money owed, including finance charges and delinquency fees.

Now, American Express is looking for the total amount owed to them and also for their court charges to be covered. This really is turning out to be one tragic tale for TNA. At this point, it almost seems like people are beating a dead horse.

It would truly be a miracle if Corgan takes things under his own wing and starts afresh. The amount of debt that TNA is in and the amount of lawsuits that are being filed against them.

As mentioned above, it is unclear as to whether Corgan is the majority owner or not, but there is clearly tension backstage between Dixie Carter and Corgan. Dixie Carter still has a hand on things in some form or the other, and Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter stated that a lot of what is going on is for Dixie to save face.

Here is an updated list of the parties who TNA owes money to:

  • Audience of One Productions
  • Aroluxe Media
  • Anthem Sports and Entertainment
  • The state of Tennessee
  • Multiple wrestlers who have not been paid fully
  • American Express Travel Related Services Company
  • It won’t be surprising if this list gets updated and more names are added.
