Update on Cesaro injury: how long will he be out?, WWE Hall of famer expresses disappointment

Cesaro knew about the injury, but had been working through it.

- WWE was dealt yet another injury blow yesterday as Cesaro was confirmed to have an injury and so, was reported to miss substantial ring-time. WWE has come out and confirmed the injury, said to be to the left shoulder rotator cuff which he has had for a few months now.

The Swiss phenom has reportedly known about the injury for a while, but chose to keep working with it after getting an MRI done. He wanted to rehab the injury but was intimated later that he tore one tendon and partially tore another one.

The surgery is set for today and the timeline for his return to in-ring action is reported to be anywhere between 4-5 months, depending on the surgery and the rehab following that. Cesaro said the following about when he returns.

“I just want to come back as soon as possible. I felt I was building a lot of momentum, and that was all thanks to the fans. I really appreciate all the support I’ve gotten and I’ve felt that theCesaro Section is finally rising and it’s becoming undeniable … and then, of course, this happens. It’s funny, because I am having the surgery on the day we are in Nashville, Tenn. [for Raw], which is where the Cesaro Section originated. I was actually expecting a big CesaroSection tonight, and I’m sure they’ll be there. Unfortunately, I’ll be getting out of surgery. [Laughs]

I will be there in spirit with them. I want to keep the momentum up when I return, and I’m sure the Section will still be there.”

- Mick Foley has been a long time supporter of the WWE Divas, and has been especially complimentary of the new crop that includes the likes of Sasha Banks, Becky Lynch and Charlotte.

This week’s RAW saw a match between Banks & Becky Lynch, which was very short for both the talented superstars to do anything noteworthy. The Hardcore legend took to Twitter to express his thoughts on the whole situation:
