WWE Live event: London Results (04/11/2016)

Reigns defended the Championship against Rusev

The latest WWE live event took place in London, England. The show only featured the RAW roster. Fans attended in large numbers and were vocal throughout the night. The results are provided below:

1. The New Day(Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods)(c) vs. Enzo Amore and Big Cass vs. Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows vs. Sheamus and Cesaro [Fatal 4 way match for the RAW Tag team Championship]

A fun yet decent tag team contest to start the event. There was loud pops from the crowd Cesaro performed the Swing on Kofi, Enzo and Gallows. Xavier and Kofi pinned Anderson with the Midnight Hour to gain the victory.

Results: The New Day retains the Championship by defeating Enzo Amore and Big Cass, Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows, Cesaro and Sheamus


2. Curtis Axel vs. Sin Cara

The match was short. Axel dominated the first minute of the match, but his momentum was quickly destroyed by some aerial moves of Cara. He pinned Axel after delivering a Senton Bomb off the top rope.

Result: Sin Cara defeated Curtis Axel


3. Titus O’Neil, Primo and Epico vs. Darren Young, Goldust, R-Truth

The match was short. R-Truth pinned Titus to pick up the victory for his team.

Result: Darren Young, Goldust, R-Truth defeated Titus O’Neil, Primo and Epico

4. Sasha Banks vs. Charlotte(c) [RAW Women’s Championship match]

The audience were really involved with the match. Sasha got some of the best pops during this amazing contest. Once, Charlotte countered the double knee drop of Banks into a roll-up pin attempt. She finally got the win after hitting a Natural Selection.

Result: Charlotte defeated Sasha Banks and retains the Championship

5. Roman Reigns(c) vs Rusev [United States Championship match]

The fans witnessed another hard-hitting brawl between the two. Roman recieved massive cheers from the crowd while Rusev was booed throughout. In the closing moments of the match, Lana was sent backstage due to her multiple interferences. Reigns picked up the win over Rusev after a Spear.

Result: Roman Reigns defeated Rusev to retain the United States Championship


6. Dana Brooke and Nia Jax vs. Alicia Fox and Bayley [Special guest referee: Emma]

Back and forth tag team action. Jax dominated most of the match, until Brooke tagged herself in. Bayley pinned Brooke after a Bayley to Belly, to pick up the win for her team.

Result: Bayley and Alicia Fox defeated Dana Brooke and Nia Jax

7. Chris Jericho vs. Sami Zayn

Before the match started, Jericho came out to cut a promo but Zayn interrupted him. He pinned Jericho to get the win after hitting the Helluva Kick.

Result: Sami Zayn defeated Chris Jericho


8. Neville vs. Bo Dallas

This match can be considered as a squash bout. A Red Arrow on Dallas, helped Neville to win the contest.

Result: Neville defeated Bo Dallas


9. Kevin Owens(c) vs. Seth Rollins [Street Fight for the WWE Universal Championship]

Perhaps the match of the night. Kendo sticks, chairs, tables were involved in this sreet fight. Owens got the chance to weaken Rollins with a low-blow, courtesy an interference from Chris Jericho. Owens rolled-up Rollins to win the match.

Result: Kevin Owens defeated Seth Rollins to retain the Universal Championship

After the match, Owens cut a promo, dissing the audience. The segment ended when Rollins power bombed Owens through a table.


Points to Note:

– Despite the previous show being six weeks earlier, the arena was packed with the fans.

– Once again, Emma served as the special guest referee for the women's tag team action.
