  • Recently on YouTube, former WWE and WCW star “Diamond” Dallas Page posted a very cryptic video called, “When the Cat is Away”, and features Jake “The Snake” Roberts. During the video, an anonymous commentator going by the name “Andrew” makes comments about how Roberts is acting funny, is not acting like himself, and needs to get a hold of “Andrew” right away. For those that don’t know, Roberts completed WWE-sponsored drug rehab a while back and has been living with Page in the meantime, doing Page’s critically-acclaimed yoga program in order to improve himself both physically and mentally, as well as keep him clean. Roberts has stayed clean over the last year or so, but as soon as this video popped up, rumours began swirling that maybe Roberts had started using once more. The video is still up on YouTube as of this moment.
  • On Monday Night RAW, the cover for WWE’s upcoming WWE 2K14 video game was revealed, and features none other than The Rock. In a press release from 2K Sports, the Rock made the following statement: “I am exceptionally grateful to be chosen for the cover of WWE 2K14 and serve as the first cover Superstar under 2K’s leadership. I want the cover of WWE 2K14 to electrify the people. I want the artwork to stand out and set a new standard for all WWE video games from 2K, both today and in the future.” The game is slated to release on October 29th of this year.
  • Also on RAW, Jimmy and Jey Uso became the new number-one contenders to the WWE Tag Team Championships, defeating Tons of Funk (Brodus Clay and Sweet T) and Team Rhodes Scholars (Cody Rhodes and Damien Sandow) in a triple threat match. It is unknown when the Usos will get their shot, but don’t be surprised if it happens at Money in the Bank. Despite several years with WWE, this is one of only a very few championship matches the Usos have received. They are currently expected to receive a big push and feud with Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins.
  • Jack Swagger has been found guilty in regards to his DUI arrest earlier this year. Swagger was arrested for driving under the influence of marijuana, and when the police searched his car, they found a stash of the drug in his possession. While Swagger’s punishment was more or less a slap on the wrist – he received six months unsupervised probation and just under $1500.00 in legal fees – this outcome does not bode well for his WWE career. It is believed his immediate push at Elimination Chamber was halted when news of the arrest came out, and considering he has barely won any matches since then (not to mention possibly getting a title run taken away from him), it’s likely this is true. While he may still be featured on WWE television after this, don’t expect him anywhere near the main event scene in the future. In fact, WWE has already looked at replacing him, pairing his manager Zeb Colter with Antonio Cesaro while Swagger has been dealing with his legal issues.
