WWE News: Cody Rhodes to wrestle for both TNA and ROH

Cody Rhodes will be participating in both ROH and TNA

Former WWE Superstar Cody Rhodes will be joining the company’s two main competitors, ROH (Ring of Honor) and TNA (Total Nonstop Action). Rhodes’ situation is unlike any other as he will be working for the two promotions simultaneously – a feat unheard of before. TNA wrestler are allowed to participate in any Indie wrestling promotion that is not broadcasted, but are not allowed for the ones which are like ROH.

In his latest podcast for the Wresting Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer revealed that he recently spoke to Rhodes at PWG’s Battle of Los Angeles, which took place over the weekend. He also added that Rhodes will not be under contract with either of the two promotions and this enables him to work with ROH along side TNA. In TNA, he will be seen feuding with Mike Bennett and Maria Knellis, while his wife Brandi will also be participating in it.

Rhodes married Brandi Reed in 2013 and the latter has worked as a ring announcer with WWE under the alias Eden Stiles. Brandi has also done announcing for her husband in BOLA.

Adam Cole will be taking on Cody in ROH, while he is also expected to feud a couple of other superstars. However, Cody will not be allowed to use his WWE’s in-ring name ‘Rhodes’ as he does not have the rights to it and he might be forced to fight without a last name in the two promotions.

Cody has been active on Twitter recently and revealed his excitement for participating in BOLA on the micro-blogging site.
