WWE News: Demolition sends a message to New Day

Much to the annoyance of the Candian fans, New Day took a dig at Demolition during Survivor Series

Legendary professional wrestling journalist, Bill Apter, recently interviewed the celebrated duo of Ax and Smash (Demolition), at the Keystone State Wrestling Alliance.

The legendary tag team had some harsh words for the current RAW Tag Team Champions, New Day ( Xavier Woods, Kofi Kingston and Big E), who are on the verge of surpassing the former's groundbreaking title reign record of 478 days (single reign).

While the Demolition spoke in a tone that goes against their loud persona, the duo said that New Day 'better pack their lunch', if they wish to come after their combined reign. Demolition currently holds the WWE record for a combined tag team reign of 698 days.

Aside from the banter, Ax and Smash appreciated the advocates of 'the power of positivity' and said that they believe they are good and confident guys, in spite of not knowing them personally.

This coming Tuesday, New Day will accomplish the legendary feat that was considered almost impossible to conquer in modern times. Demolition has held the record since 1989. The closest any team ever came to beat their record was the team of Brian Kendrick and Paul London, who held the belts for 331 days in 2006-2007.

It was considered one of those untouchable feats, but now it appears that the New Day has a good chance of accomplishing it.

The dynamic duo, Ax and Smash, are currently involved in a major lawsuit with WWE. This is most likely the reason they haven't been featured in any of the segments, involving New Day breaking their legendary record.
