WWE News: Goldust confirms that he is staying in the WWE

Goldust and R-Truth are currently on the low-card feuding with Tyler Breeze and his tag partner Fandango. Goldust, who has been in and out of the WWE as many as four times, was speculated to leave the company after his half-brother Cody Rhodes had been released and seen representing other promotions at their live tapings.

However, Goldust chose to clear the air about his relationship with WWE on his social media account.

The late WWE Hall of Famer, Dusty Rhodes’ eldest son has been a veteran of the professional wrestling brand, mostly feuding in the tag team division. Goldust’s body of work includes holding the Tag Team Championship titles with the likes of his half-brother Cody Rhodes and Booker T, while also occupying the Intercontinental Championship belt and the Hardcore Championship belt among other titles across WWE/WWF/WCW.

Donning some of the most interesting and skilled face-paintwork in an era where face-paints and masks in wrestling is making its comeback, Goldust’s persona has always been in sharp contrast to his comical appearance.

The feud with “Breezango” as one half of “The Golden Truth” are mostly meant to solidify the storylines in the low card but Goldust has been received a fairly ambivalent response from the crowd across the country.

This begged the question whether the lack of focus on older names and the showering of spotlight on the fresh imports from the competing brands meant Goldust was also following on the heels of his brother Cody and sister-in-law Eden in leaving the WWE once more?

The veteran, however, allayed the rumors by responding to the same:

Goldust recently bid adieu to friend, colleague and social media manager for the WWE, Paul Geraghty, and aims to continue to mentor his current tag team partner R-Truth in the tag team of “The Golden Truth”.
