What's the story?

The WWE locker room is a tight-knit bunch, but things can go wrong when there are so many egos. There is often one Superstar who is the leader of the locker room, who sets things right, but it seems that that role has been vacant for a while, as Mark Henry explained in a recent appearance on a podcast.

In case you didn't know...

The Undertaker, Triple H, John Cena, and more recently, Roman Reigns, are said to have the locker room leaders, guiding younger Superstars, while also using their leadership to douse disagreements and real-life feuds between Superstars.

The heart of the matter

Mark Henry, in Sam Roberts' Not Sam Wrestling podcast, spoke about the issues that exist in the WWE locker room, and the reason for it.

The WWE Hall of Famer and former WWE Champion said, “Me being gone this last year and a half, there’s a lot of stuff that’s happened in the locker room that would’ve never happened under my watch. People arguing and fussing about stuff. There’s been a couple of people be habitually late, which Vince hates. But he don’t have Taker or Me. Booker’s not there — only at TV. Big Show’s been injured. So all the guys that hold peoples’ face to the fire is not there.”

He revealed how he is going to help bring change in the locker room, and that he will be at all WWE PPVs to bring authority and leadership.

“That s*** is gonna come to an abrupt stop. Because I will be at all pay-per-views now. We’re going to reestablish the chain-of-command,” said the WWE Hall of Famer. (H/T ProWrestlingSheet for the transcription)
