We are in the thick of WrestleMania Season as the big event is just three weeks away. Over the weekend, the WWE YouTube channel released their WWE Top 10 video on the funniest moments in the history of WrestleMania.

In case you didn't know

The first WrestleMania took place at Madison Square Garden on March 31, 1985. The groundbreaking show didn't actually air on pay per view, it was only available through closed-circuit television but still managed to get over a million viewers. WrestleMania I set the record for most viewers of a closed-circuit television event in the United States at the time.

There were a lot of hilarious moments in the history of WrestleMania, and as you can see, a lot of those moments involved celebrities. Going all the way back to WrestleMania I in 1985, celebrities have played a major role in the WWE at every WrestleMania.

Their role was so highly regarded, a celebrity wing of the WWE Hall of Fame was created in 2004. The first celebrity inductee was fitting #2 on this list, Pete Rose, and in 2018, Kid Rock will be the latest celebrity to be honored.

What's next?

WrestleMania 34 is just three weeks away when it takes place live from the Superdome in New Orleans Louisiana. There are currently ten matches on the card including the two major championships on the line when Roman Reigns takes on Brock Lesnar for the WWE Universal Championship, and AJ Styles takes on Shinsuke Nakamura for the WWE Championship.

Author's take

Of the ten moments shown in that video, the Heenan one was definitely my favorite. Classic Brain moment where he's riding on the camel BACKWARDS, and even better was "The Macho Man" Randy Savage making fun of him as he made his way towards ringside.

Andre The Giant ringing the neck of legendary baseball broadcaster Bob Uecker is probably the most iconic moment of the ten listed, and I hope there are some words from Uecker on the upcoming HBO documentary on April 10th.
