WWE News: Sting not sure if he will return to the squared circle

Will Sting return to the WWE?

WWF/WCW Legend, Steve Borden, also known as Sting, recently visited the Unioto High School Gym in Chillicothe, Ohio. When asked about his stance on a return to WWE, for one last match, The WWE Hall of Famer simply said that he doesn’t know.

Sting, officially retired from an in-ring career, earlier this year, after being inducted in the Hall of the Fame, class of 2016. Borden suffered a legitimate neck injury, during his match with Seth Rollins, at Night of Champions 2015. Despite the gruesome injury, Sting completed the match although he went on to lose.

While Sting has gone back and forth, contemplating his retirement on various interviews, his return to in-ring action now seems like a vague possibility!

In an episode of Legends hosted by JBL, on WWE Network, Sting noted that he hadn't undergone a surgical intervention for his neck, as it would mark the end of his pro wrestling career. Sting also subtly hinted at his desire to face The Undertaker, at the grandest stages of em’ all, Wrestlemania!

That’s the unfinished business- I've always wanted to have that match (with The Undertaker), and I know that wrestling fans have always wanted to see it too.

The seasoned veteran had his short but sweet return to the company, which is now rebranded as WWE. On November 23rd, 2014 during the Survivor Series main event Sting attacked Triple H and locked in the Scorpion Death Lock, to cost team Authority a win, thereby setting up a feud with The Game.

Their rivalry culminated on Wrestlemania 31, where the Sting lost despite a valiant effort. He then challenged Rollins for WWE World Heavyweight Championship and lost, following a bad neck injury.

Take a look at a video posted by a fan which shows the gruesome incident, as it happened!

With his former WCW’s colleague Goldberg’srturn, it would be great to see the Icon back for another run, which could also be in a non-wrestling capacity.
