Sasha Banks emerged victorious in a Falls count Anywhere against Charlotte to become a 3-time WWE Women’s Champion in the latest edition of RAW. Lately, the Women’s title has been constantly shuffled around. There are some updates regarding why this title change took place.
According to Inquisitr.com, The title change was done in order to make Banks a credible champion. which suggests that the WWE have given the green light for the Banks vs. Bayley feud.
Since Charlotte might be out of the title picture, the rumours of UFC star Ronda Rousey returning look more plausible as she will most likely face Charlotte at Wrestlemania 33. In order to Bayley to have her “Wrestlemania moment”, it is necessary that Sasha is built as a convincing champion.
Another potential reason for the title change might be due to the fact that the women’s roster on RAW is pretty thin on heels, which is why Banks is not expected to turn heel until early 2017.

The reason why the Flair/Banks feud has lasted this long is the lack of women with main event potential on the roster, Nia Jax and Dana Brooke are not seen as being ready yet, which is why their involvement has been relatively lesser.
Regarding the status of Bayley, she is not expected to be heavily involved in the title picture before Wrestlemania 33. The title picture would have been broader if the likes of Paige and Summer Rae were present, but unfortunately, injuries got in their way.
Sasha’s earlier reigns were disastrous and this reign might help her cement her legacy as a great Women’s champion. As of now, it seems that Banks vs. Bayley and Charlotte vs. Ronda Rousey are the two major feuds in the women’s division.
There is no exact update regarding Sasha’s next opponent.
The most likely opponent currently seems to be Emma who is expected to return soon, the WWE have heavily aired “Emmalina” vignettes to hype her return. The likelihood of Banks turning heel on a returning Emma is also possible at the moment.
It seems that the WWE have finally put faith in Banks and she can now fulfil her potential with a lengthy title run.
