WWE News: WWE confirms that Kurt Angle will not return to the company

We’ve all spoken too soon at some point, Kurt

Whispers of Kurt Angle’s return to the WWE spread like wildfire, after the former WWE Champion said this recently on Mark Madden’s radio show when he was asked about its likelihood:

“Will I return? Yes. I don't know when”

Angle said that he had an amicable conversation with both Vince McMahon and Triple H recently, one where the topic of him wrestling a match for the WWE did surface. But that looks like it will remain just that for now – talk.

Allwrestlingnews.com reports that WWE officials told Dave Meltzer that Kurt Angle will not return to the company. Angle has made no secret of his ambition to return to the epicenter of pro-wrestling, a place he left in 2006.

One of five Grand Slam Champions in WWE history, Angle revealed in the eponymous documentary about him that he left the company because he was struggling with a lot of injuries and wasn’t granted remedial time.

The 47-year-old has told media that he is very enthusiastic about the idea of managing former NXT tag team champions American Alpha; a revival of sorts, of the World’s Greatest Tag Team. He believes that he is still capable of wrestling a match.
