Continuing their tour of Iowa, WWE's blue themed show, SmackDown, held a Live Event this past Sunday in the capital of Des Moines.
Along with more than half dozen exciting matches, the fans also got to witness the return of a former United States champion following a back injury during the event.

#1 Apollo Crews vs The Miz
In the absence of his current on-screen rival Dolph Ziggler, former Intercontinental Champion Miz faced the former NXT star Apollo Crews in the opening match of the night.
Unfortunately for the Miz, his luck seems to have been stolen along with his intercontinental title as the former WWE champion again suffered a defeated in the opening bout.
Result - Apollo Crews def. The Miz
#2 The Hype Bros and American Alpha vs The Ascension and The Vaudevillains.
The Hype Bros, who had a heated exchange of words with the Ascension in a recent episode of SmackDown, teamed up with American Alpha and defeated Konnor and Viktor, who were accompanied by the team of Simon Gotch and Aiden English.
Result - The Hype Bros and American Alpha def. The Ascension and The Vaudevillains.
#3 Jack Swagger vs Baron Corbin
The former World Champion Jack Swagger hoped to score a victory against the man he came face to face with, during his SmackDown Live debut a few weeks ago.
However, his hopes came crashing down and the Lone Wolf came out victorious in the fight between the two No Mercy opponents.

#4 Becky Lynch, Emma, and Naomi vs. Alexa Bliss, Natalya, and Carmella
The inaugural SmackDown Women's Champion, Becky Lynch, teamed up with the former member of the Funkadactyls tag team Naomi and Emma, to defeat the #1 contender for her championship Alexa Bliss and her teammates Natalya, and Carmella.
Result - Becky Lynch, Emma, and Naomi def. Alexa Bliss, Natalya, and Carmella.
#5 Kane vs. Bray Wyatt
The Big Red Monster Kane squared off against the ‘Eater Of Worlds’ Bray Wyatt and finally managed to take his revenge from the Wyatt Family Leader, for making him disappear in a tag team match 2 weeks ago, when he defeated the New face of Fear in a one on one match.
Results - Kane def. Bray Wyatt.
#6 Kalisto vs. Tyler Breeze
Former United States Champion Kalisto wrestled his first match, after suffering a back injury in mid-August and defeated the former NXT star Tyler Breeze. It's not known yet when Kalisto will make his on-screen return.

#7 WWE SmackDown Tag Team Champions Heath Slater and Rhyno vs. The Usos
Often described as the beauty and the man-beast, the SmackDown Tag team Championship holders Heath Slater and Rhyno took on the former WWE Tag Team Champions, The Usos.
The inaugural SmackDown Tag Team Champions managed to defeat their No Mercy opponents once again and scored the victory, in a match prior to the main event.
Result - Heath Slater and Rhyno def. The Usos
#8 WWE World Heavyweight Champion AJ Styles vs. Dean Ambrose.
After being defeated by James Ellsworth via a disqualification this past Tuesday, The WWE World Heavyweight Champion, AJ Styles, got a chance to take his revenge when he faced the man who laid him down with a Dirty Deeds following his match this past SmackDown, Dean Ambrose.
The WWE World Heavyweight Champion cashed in this opportunity and came out victorious in the main event of the night.
Result - AJ Styles def. Dean Ambrose.
