5 reasons why Brock Lesnar should leave WWE after WrestleMania 34

'The Beast Incarnate' has been one of the biggest names to have ever stepped foot into the WWE. From winning the world championship numerous times to ending The Undertaker's undefeated streak at WrestleMania, Lesnar has pretty much climbed every mountain that there is to climb in the WWE. He even defeated his long-time rival Goldberg at WrestleMania 33 for the Universal Title and he can safely say that he has conquered everyone there is to conquer in the WWE.

Having said that, it can be argued that there is not much left for Lesnar in the WWE. Rumors have been heavy that 'The Beast' is set for a return to the UFC when his contract with the WWE comes to an end at WrestleMania 34, and while some fans might be disappointed with this, it might be the best decision for both him and the WWE in the long-term for the five reasons that follow.

#1 He's no longer the huge draw he used to be

Lesnar's part-time status makes it difficult for him to be involved in any long-term feuds

Being a part-timer, Lesnar's appearances on WWE are limited, which makes it difficult for him to become actively involved in any long-term story-line. The WWE has tried to get around this by using Paul Heyman to do much of the promotional work during segments and have him step-in for Lesnar in this way, but nothing can replace the impact and effect which comes with having the actual Superstar there.

For example, thinking back to the heavy beating which Lesnar gave Reigns these past two weeks, this was something which required Lesnar's actual appearance in order for the segment to be effective. A war of words only goes so far.

The lack of Lesnar's active appearances and his limited interactions on WWE television makes it difficult for fans to become fully invested him. The WWE may have been hoping that absence makes the heart fonder, but sometimes it's a case of out of sight, out of mind.

#2 His matches aren't as interesting as they used to be.

Perhaps another side-effect of being a part-timer is the extent to which Lesnar's matches have deteriorated in comparison to his first run with the WWE. His matches are usually short, slow and not as intense as they used to be.

Back in 2002 Lesnar's matches were among the most exciting on any card. You could always expect a brutal and exciting match regardless of who the opponent was. Lately, however, it seems as if though his matches are more rushed.

#3 It's time for the WWE to develop new talent

A lot has been invested by the WWE in Brock Lesnar, even going as far as allowing him to be the man to end The Undertaker's WrestleMania undefeated streak.

One feels that it's time that they invest in other stars who are still making a name for themselves in the WWE and who are there on a full-time basis.

With Braun Strowman as wildly popular as he is, it would make sense for the WWE to focus on developing his character for the long-term, and even giving him a title run.

Striking the iron while it's hot is very, very important.

#4 Monday night RAW needs a full-time champion

Another problem with Lesnar's part-time schedule is that he can only defend the title a certain number of times per year.

Whilst Lesnar does not need to leave the WWE in order for this to happen (they can just put the belt on another superstar for example), the WWE has kept the belt on him for an entire year now, which would be unthinkable for a part-timer.

#5 Time is running out for him to make a UFC return

At the age of 40, time is running out for Lesnar to make a meaningful return to the UFC

One would hardly believe it, but Lesnar is already 40 years old, which means that he is no longer in his prime. While working in the WWE might still be a bit more manageable for someone who is older, a return to the UFC might not be as easy, and if Lesnar is interested in making a UFC return, now would be his best chance to do it.
