WWE Raw 28th March, 2016 Preview

WWE will be looking to add some last minute hype to their storylines. Also, we could get to see a handful of last minute decisions as well if WWE is looking to shake things up. With that said, here is a look at the possible segments that WWE could come up with at this week’s Monday Night Raw.

Full-fledged Women’s Wrestling

In-ring debut of Lana should be exciting to watch

The women of WWE’s main roster are all set to have two matches at WrestleMania this season. The first one would see a triple threat between Sasha Banks, Charlotte, and Becky Lynch for the Divas Championship whereas the second one will have Total Divas as the main theme.

The second match is yet to be made official but it is unlikely to change at this point.

The debut of Lana along with the returning Emma would be the highlight of the second match. There will also be an added excitement about Natalya getting a WrestleMania slot after her strong showing at Roadblock against Charlotte. In short, it is a good time to be a fan of Women’s Wrestling.

The struggle of Roman Reigns

What can WWE do to save him?

Roman Reigns and his struggles came underneath the limelight last week on Raw. Although he had a heroic babyface moment in the parking lot with Triple H, none of the fans seemed to care and it did not go as WWE planned.

The idea and execution cannot be counted out but as Roman is still showing the scars of some horrible booking that WWE has been giving him for the past two years, anything that WWE tries will not end up being a hit with the fans.

With only one chance left to turn around the Reigns vs. Triple H match, will WWE do something risky and turn Reigns heel? It is a desperate measure and we will have to tune into Monday night Raw to find out.

Rumors of a Roman Reigns heel turn are also doing the rounds and also the blatant fact that the no.1 contender currently is the clear front runner in walking out of Dallas with the strap on his shoulders.

Wrestling Observer notes that the change in his entrance could be a glaring indicator of a much-needed turn being on the cards.

Third team in the mix?

The torch is ready to be passed

On paper, the match between Dudley Boyz and Usos is mouth-watering. On one side, we have the legendary Dudleyz, who have done it all, been everywhere and on the other side; we have the Usos, who are touted as the next Dudleyz. In short, it is a classic passing of the torch match between the tag teams.

Despite this, WWE has failed to evoke some hype around the same.

The buildup has been flat so far and most of the fans aren't really invested at this point. There are rumors about a third team getting added to the mix in the form of R-Truth and Goldust. If this happens, it would make the storyline bit more entertaining.

The beast and his advocate

Best for business

Having Paul Heyman on their payroll is probably the best thing WWE has going for itself right now. Heyman knows how to sell a pay-per-view and has been doing it for the length of his career.

Without his impact, the whole Ambrose vs. Lesnar match wouldn’t have got the hype that it gets right now. And the best part is: Heyman is at his best when it comes to the last minute promos.

From a fan’s point of view, if WWE allows Ambrose and Lesnar to get bloody at this week’s Raw, the level of excitement surrounding the match will go sky high. But the chances of this happening are quite low.

What new twist does the power struggle have?

Is there a twist in the tale?

The on-going power Struggle between Vince McMahon and Shane McMahon will clearly be the biggest draw at WrestleMania. Although WWE is projecting Triple H vs. Roman Reigns as the top draw, we’re all too familiar with this attempt falling flat.

Last week, WWE upped the stakes when they announced that Undertaker’s WrestleMania career would be in jeopardy if he loses to Shane.

It is an interesting angle to be added at this point of time and makes one wonder whether Taker would completely retire or is it just his WrestleMania appearances that are on the line.

Things will be a whole lot clairvoyant once WWE wraps up their go-home edition of Monday Night Raw for WrestleMania 32.
