WWE's likely reaction to CM Punk's 22-page letter, removes Punk merchandise from official website

CM Punk

As noted last week, CM Punk’s lawyer had contacted WWE on legal matters by sending them a 22-page letter pertaining to the unpaid royalties which Punk felt they owed and the usage of his name and likeness mainly in the upcoming video game WWE 2K15.

It may appear to be a coincidence, but it seems that WWE have, in a way, responded to Punk as they have removed most of his merchandise from CM Punk’s WWEshop.com Alumni page.

There are only four items remaining with the most expensive being a set of CM Punk wrist sleeves for $2.99. A few of the other remaining Punk pieces are redirecting to an “item not found” page.

WWE feels they don’t owe him any money has he breached his contract by quitting the company earlier this year. It should also be noted that Punk’s 22 page letter sent to WWE is not a lawsuit, it’s simply an attorney sent letter regarding what Punk feels are owed monies.
