WWE responds to Brock Lesnar’s 'blade job' at WrestleMania 31

We had posted an earlier GIF regarding the main event at WrestleMania 31 between Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns. It appeared from the GIF that the referee passed a blade to Roman reigns. It was done with the presumption that Reigns would pass it off to Lesnar. When Lesnar went into the steel post, head first, it appeared that Lesnar cut himself open and did a ‘blade job’.

WWE issued the following statement on the ‘blade job’ row:

“WWE programming is TV-PG and we don’t permit intentional bleeding. The communication or contact between our performers and referees is part of our safety protocol. That said, unintentional blood sometimes occurs, and we do our best to minimize”.
