WWE Superstar Jack Swagger was arrested yesterday for DUI (Driving Under Influence) and for the possession of marijuana in his car. The law enforcement authorities also noted that Jack Swagger’s court date for DUI, marijuana possession and speeding is March 12th. This arrest could potentially hamper his career in the WWE. Soon after celebrity news website TMZ broke the story about Swagger’s arrest earlier today, WWE responded by saying, “Mr. Swagger is responsible for his own personal actions.”

Jack Swagger, (Real Name: Jack Hager) was reportedly speeding in his 2013 Ford Taurus after he left the SmackDown taping last night at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum in Biloxi, Mississippi. The cops pulled him over for speeding and later found marijuana in his car. Swagger was booked for Speeding, DUI and possession of weed. Here is a mugshot of his arrest.

It has to be stated that Jack Swagger recently came back to the WWE after a brief absence. He is currently being given a major push with Zeb Coulter acting as his mouthpiece, which seems to be headed for an end after this development.

It is well known that WWE is very serious about federal offences and drugs. According to WWE’s wellness policy,

“Any WWE Talent, who is arrested, convicted or who admits to a violation of law relating to use, possession, purchase, sale or distribution of drugs will be in material breach of his/her contract with WWE and subject to immediate dismissal.”

With this being Swagger’s first violation of this policy, he could escape with just a fine. Or, WWE could take a more serious stand and hand out a 30-day suspension or an even harsher punishment.

On a lighter note, soon after Swagger’s arrest was made public, Twitter was buzzing with tweets about Swagger and #WeedThePeople began trending, mocking Swagger’s latest catchphrase “We The People”.
