WWE Rumours: Payback main event plans possibly revealed

This story has been built brilliantly so far, but how will it end?

This Sunday, WWE’s first PPV after WrestleMania is about to happen. WWE Payback has garnered the attention of lot of fans after a brilliant piece of booking by WWE in the past three weeks. One such intrigue filled booking has lead to the head scratcher of Roman Reigns vs AJ Styles match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

There has been lot of speculations about how the match might end. The roles of Gallows and Anderson are still unclear and WWE has done brilliantly to leave options open for a sudden change in booking. But, this has left most of the fans to hope that the long-awaited Reigns heel turn would at last happen.

But it looks like WWE is heading somewhere else with this story. According to SEScoops, inside sources have confirmed that WWE intends to debut former NXT Champion Finn Balor at WWE Payback. It is also believed that Gallows and Anderson will attack not Reigns but Styles and thus provide him a win via disqualification.

It is to be noted that the title won’t change hands with a win due to disqualification. Reigns will still remain the champion, but Finn’s debut and his siding will decide whether Reigns is turning heel or not. As of now, it is not yet confirmed to which side Balor would side to.

Whatever decision WWE is going to take, there is not much that could go wrong with this much options, unless until WWE Creative decides to do something extremely stupid (which is highly likely!!). Let’s hope the Creative pulls through.
