As we reported before, Brock Lesnar won the main event of WWE SummerSlam this year after defeating Randy Orton via TKO and leaving him in a pool of bloody mess.
However, unlike the heavy rumors, we did not see any major returns happening for the climax of the PPV and the show ended with Brock Lesnar delivering an F5 to SmackDown general manager Shane McMahon.
As seen in the below tweet made by ESPN reporter Arash Markazi, this angered the fans and after the event went off air, the fans in attendance started booing the lazy end of the show:

As reported by Wrestlezone, after the cameras stopped rolling, Randy Orton finally recovered his consciousness and got up on his feet with the help of Shane McMahon. It did not help WWE in any way, as fans were constantly booing throughout the phase when Shane took Randy backstage.
Randy had to receive 10 staples to his forehead to cover the laceration caused at the hands, Brock Lesnar. Here is a photo:
The decisions such as putting the Universal Title match prior to US title match and no big surprises coming out of the 2nd biggest PPV of the year has pissed off the fans all over the world, and many of them are still expressing their displeasure on various social sites.
The highlight of the show undoubtedly is the fact that AJ Syles went over John Cena cleanly after putting on another classic. Finn Balor becoming the first WWE Universal Champion also solidifies WWE's vision of the trust that is invested in the new crop of WWE stars. John Cena hinting at hanging up his wrestling boots (which could have also been the indication of his short hiatus to shoot the second season of American Grit) also points to the underlying fact, and that the old horses have given up the stage for the up and coming stars.
