E&C: Edge and Christian

Hours after being revealed as the primary inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2012, Rated R-Superstar Edge has revealed that he wants his close friend and compatriot Christian to induct him at the ceremony. Although, it hasn’t been confirmed yet, it might indeed be Christian, who may induct Edge on March 31st. Edge had expressed his opinion during a radio interview after Raw.

On being asked on his feelings about the honor, Edge, whose age is 38 at present, said that he feels old and he was being complemented too soon. He termed his induction as the icing on the cake and suggested that it validates his career. It has to be noted that Edge would be the youngest person to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, when it is done so on March 31, 2012.

When asked about a match that he wishes for, Edge revealed that it would have been nice had he wrestled Christian at Wrestlemania before his retirement. He added that he thinks he would be given the choice to pick the person to induct him into the Hall of Fame, and if given the choice, Christian would be the one. Edge & Christian have been real-life friends throughout their pro-wrestling careers. It would make perfect sense for Edge to be inducted into the Hall of Fame by Christian.

Later in the interview, Edge said that his neck was fine. He continued by saying that he was learning as he goes as to what bothers the neck and what doesn’t. He cited examples by saying that he went to dentist a couple of months ago and could not turn his neck for two days. Flights over two hours bother him for a day He said that he will have to eventually get neck surgery. Since he has already underwent three neck surgeries, he really doesn’t want to get a fourth surgery.

When Edge was questioned about his post-retirement period, Edge said that it has been a surreal and a weird year. He also revealed that at the start of 2011, he never thought that he would be spending most of the year sitting on a chair with tea cup poodle. Edge said that hiking, biking, and playing records were his most desirable past-times during the latter half of 2012. Edge also revealed that he will be a part of the forthcoming season 3 of the TV series – Haven. At the end of the interview, Edge commented on the Royal Rumble matches and suggested that they could turn out to be a nightmare for wrestlers.

We will have to wait and watch till 31st of March to find out who will induct the Rated R-Superstar Edge into the WWE Hall of fame. But Edge has made his opinion clear. It is most likely that WWE will heed to Edge’s suggestion.
