If football clubs were wrestlers

Abhinav

WWE star – John Cena.

Let’s take a look at some of the biggest clubs today in European football and compare them to past and present WWE stars:

The Rock – Arsenal

A heavyweight since 1999, both have been entertaining and electrifying the world for years and till this day as well. At their very peak until 2004 but ever since then, have only shown patches of form (and appearances.) However, both have looked strong in 2012 and the future seems bright again.

Kurt Angle – Barcelona

Technically superior to everyone else, criticized for getting help (or conning) from referees and hated by many but still nonetheless, the best at what they do.

Chris Jericho – Tottenham

Been there for a while but has barely done anything significant barring a few wins. Came to prominence again in 2012 but has slowly collapsed after a North London Derby/Wrestlemania main event. Prides themselves by rare wins against The Rock or Arsenal.

Booker T – Liverpool

One of the biggest names back in the day. Still a worthy opponent for many, though not nearly as dominant. Pride themselves with the amount of times (usually 5) they’ve won past glories, be it the WCW Championship or the UEFA Champions League.

Chris Benoit – Real Madrid

One of the very best in the world technically, entertaining as well. However, always comes short against Kurt Angle/Barcelona.

Undertaker – Manchester United

Loved or hated, still respected – always manages to win somehow when it matters most despite not seeming good enough. One is on the verge of a 20th PL title while the other has become 20-0 at Wrestlemania.

CM Punk – Borussia Dortmund

Has slowly been on the rise since 2009 and got much deserved glory in 2011. Now one of the biggest names in the industry and known for their entertainment.

Randy Orton – Chelsea

Came to worldwide prominence since 2004 and been dominant since, however in recent years, hasn’t been the same force – still a worthy opponent for many.

Big Show – Everton

Loved by many who watch, a threat to their competition – more than capable of winning but somehow always loses in the end.

John Cena – Inter Milan

Had it easy for many years winning non-stop causing dislike from many but have started to lose their charm and have barely won important matches in recent times.
