WWE Raw Preview: WWE Championship on the line

Shantha

The O2 arena in London, UK will be the venue of this week’s WWE Monday Night Raw Supershow on 16/4/2012. With Extreme Rules PPV just two weeks away, this show has a lot to offer to the WWE Universe. Here’s what we can expect from the show.

What next in the John Cena – Brock Lesnar feud?

It has been just two weeks since ‘The Beast’ Brock Lesnar made his return on Raw. We learnt about the reason for his return last week. The new General Manager on Raw Mr. John Laurnaitis, wanted to bring legitimacy back and hence we have the new face of the WWE – Brock Lesnar. The brawl that broke out at the start of last week’s show courtesy of Cena’s slap, was epic. Lesnar’s cowardly attack on Cena at the end of the show will evoke a reaction from the leader of the Cenation on this week’s Raw. However, we may not see the next big thing on Raw as he is not a part of the international tour that the WWE Superstars are embarking on.

Also, there seems to be a question on everybody’s mind about the Brock-Cena match at Extreme Rules. Will a stipulation be added to it? Raw might give us the answer to this lingering question.

CM Punk (c) vs Mark Henry

No Disqualification, No Count-out WWE Championship match

CM Punk vs Mark Henry, No Disqualification No Count-out WWE Championship match

CM Punk will be defending his WWE Championship against Mark Henry for the third consecutive week on Raw. The last two title defenses have ended in victories for Mark Henry but only through Disqualification and Count-out. Will the Best wrestler in the world emerge unscathed in this No-Disqualification No Count-out match against the World’s strongest man?

Jericho – CM Punk saga

Not only did CM Punk get dominated by Mark Henry over the past couple of weeks, but also was humiliated by his rival Chris Jericho. Jericho has been humiliating the straightedge superstar by pouring alcoholic beverages over him in the last two weeks. Moreover, Chris Jericho accepted and destroyed CM Punk’s award for “Most Metal Athlete” at the Revolver Golden Gods Awards, last week. It will be interesting to see whether Jericho continues to humiliate Punk or CM Punk retaliates.

Lord Tensai in a feud?

Lord Tensai had an impressive debut match squashing Alex Riley. He followed it up by defeating Yoshi Tatsu, last week. It will be interesting to see whether he will be booked in a feud or continue to squash people.

Dark Match

The dark match announced for the local crowd in London is John Cena vs Kane in a last man standing match.
