Confirmed: Balotelli signs for Salford City

Mario Balotelli, brother of Enoch Balotelli, is already plying his trade in Manchester

Mario Balotelli‘s younger brother, Enoch Balotelli, has signed for Salford City, BBC reported today.

Enoch, 20, who is two years younger than his brother Mario, has been on various trials for different clubs in England, including Stoke City.

Chairman Darren Quick was quoted: “He’s been training with us and he’s signed for us, subject to international clearance.

“It’s great for Salford. We hope he can play a few games for us and he can use it as a stepping stone to find a level more suited to him.”

He also added: “I’ve not met him but I’m told he’s a really nice lad and a really good footballer.

“We play a decent standard of football but some lads don’t want to drop that level.

“These things can work for both parties. We might get a few more through the gate, and maybe his brother might even come and watch us.”

Balotelli won’t able to play for the club immediately as he is awaiting his work permit.

Salford is on the outskirts of Manchester, where Mario plies his trade.

Whether Enoch will be able to emulate his brother’s feats, remains to be seen.
