#4 Christian Cage made his highly-anticipated AEW in-ring debut

This week's episode kicked-off with Christian Cage's AEW in-ring debut against a former TNA rival.

In his first-ever AEW Dynamite match, Christian went head-to-head against Frankie Kazarian. Back in 2007, the two stars crossed paths several times in TNA. So it made perfect sense for Christian to prove he could hang alongside his longtime rival in 2021.

Kazarian was also undefeated in 2021 with an 11-0 record. However, Christian made a dent in that statistic this week. Kazarian earned an overwhelming amount of offense in the ring, so he didn't exactly look weak, even in defeat.

Christian isn't a highly-athletic star in his 20s anymore, but his experience clearly showed in the ring on AEW Dynamite. After all, Christian and Kazarian had a proper wrestling match in an era that is dominated by an overwhelmingly fast-paced in-ring style.

After this week's episode, what's next for Christian Cage in AEW? He teased an eventual showdown with Kenny Omega not too long ago, but the latter is currently embroiled in a feud with The Young Bucks and Jon Moxley. The TNT Championship scene is stacked at the moment.

As a result, it seems that Christian will likely make his mark on AEW's non-title landscape in the foreseeable future.
