Who won last year's AEW Continental Classic?
The first edition of the Continental Classic featured several former AEW World Champions like Swerve Strickland, Jon Moxley, and Bryan Danielson, and some of this year's competitors in Claudio Castagnoli, Brody King, Mark Briscoe, and Daniel Garcia.
Eddie Kingston, who was also entered in the tournament, decided to increase the stakes. He put his ROH World Championship and NJPW Strong Openweight Championship on the line, meaning that the winner of the entire tournament would hold a triple crown.
Ultimately, The Mad King took on Jon Moxley in the finals at Worlds End 2023. Kingston would come out victorious and add a third belt to his waist.
It remains to be seen who will come out on top at this year's tournament, but one thing is for sure: a new tournament winner will be crowned. Kazuchika Okada will have the biggest target on his back, as his title is on the line.
