Why would Matt Hardy, someone who commands such respect in the AEW Dynamite roster suddenly turn heel without any kind of provocation? He concluded his feud with Sammy Guevara in an Elite Deletion Match at Full Gear but brandished a new persona on AEW Dynamite this week that seems to be a throwback to what Bo Dallas used to do.

Make no mistake about it, ladies, and gentlemen. Matt Hardy, one of the greatest ever in the pro wrestling business has turned heel with his new persona based on all his social media posts and judging from the fact that he commented on the issues of those who watch AEW Dynamite by calling their lives 'pedestrian'.

But as we saw with Bo Dallas, a motivational speaker gimmick does not really work in the current era, unless it stems into something interesting.

One hates to write off a gimmick before it even takes shape, but one has to bo-lieve that this particular gimmick will not work.
