Rebel faced Hikaru Shida on AEW Dynamite ahead of the champion's title defense against Dr. Britt Baker at Double or Nothing.
Rebel got in a couple of strikes early but it was all Shida after that. Britt Baker made a timely distraction from ringside after grabbing the AEW Women's title. Rebel smashed Shida across the back with her crutch while the referee's back was turned.
It wasn't enough to put Shida away and the champion quickly forced Rebel to tap out.

Dr. Britt Baker attacked Shida as soon as the match ended. She took the title belt and then hit Shida with a Curb Stomp onto the title belt.
We saw footage of an interaction between Kenny Omega and Orange Cassidy. Omega was with Don Callis and they told Orange Cassidy to give up the rights to his match against Kenny Omega and PAC at Double or Nothing, saying that Orange could have his match later instead. Orange Cassidy decided to tear up the contract Callis and Omega presented to him.
They proceeded to ask Orange to take some time and think about it before giving an answer.
