Brian Pillman Jr and Griff Garrison vs Brian Cage and Ricky Starks on AEW Dynamite

Brian Pillman Jr began the proceedings against Ricky Starks on AEW Dynamite. Pillman and Griff Garrison unleashed some beautiful tag team offense on Starks. However, a cheap powerbomb by Brian Cage to Pillman at ringside finally turned the tide towards the heel duo.

During the commercial break, the heel duo was firmly in control of the match with Pillman barely able to retaliate. Back from the break, Cage was manhandling Pillman, while Starks too delivered a stunning dropkick from the top of the ropes. A hot tag to Garrison finally shifted the momentum towards the faces. Pillman took down Cage and then delivered a dropkick powerbomb combo to Starks to almost get the win. However, Cage came back out of nowhere and took down Pillman with a Drillcore City for the win on AEW Dynamite.

Grade: A

Post-match, the lights went off and a body bsg appeared on screen, out of which TNT Champion Darby Allin emerged. Sting's music hit, and he came out with a body bag of his own. The Icon revealed that Tazz's son Hook is in the bag and not Allin. The TNT Champion made an incredible appearance from the rafters like Shawn Michaels' iconic entry from WrestleMania 12.

The two took down the heels in dominant fashion, and this segment was exactly what the feud needed to build the momentum going into AEW Revolution.
